12/7/2023 0 Comments Lucky chloe not in tekken 8![]() ![]() This stuff goes deep man, there are some people with latent psycosis on the internet and stuff like chloe brings it out in them. But when you look at gigas he doesn't get the same hate because he is a beefcake, eventhough he isn't a very usefull or interesting character gameplay wise, unlike chloe, raven and josie. Even josie and raven are getting much of the same hate because of their skin color and gender and because they replaced other characters. People who hate anime style characters are bigots? Really? lol Yeah it is sort of a joke, a meme started by harada when he trolled people by saying chloe won't release in the west and will be replaced by a muscular skinhead character.īut you really need to look around, the hate for chloe goes beyond people's personal preference. I do wish someone would just flat out ask Harada why they don't have any women over 30, that look over 30, in their games.True but I hope your response was a joke because its kind of nonsense. It's a pattern and an issue that Bandai Namco really needs to make an effort to fix in Tekken 8. and this is also 100% true of the SoulCalibur series. We're only a few years away from its 30th anniversary, and literally every female 30+ character has been replaced by a younger disciple or daughter before they had to visible age to make a new appearance, or they've found away to explain why they stopped physically ageing. And no, we're not counting a 1000+ year old vampire goth chick that looks to be Lili's age as "old". Most other female characters are 16-20 or "age unknown" but certainly looking like they belong in the latter age group (Lucky Chloe and Josie, for example). She's only 29! Second oldest I believe is Zafina, at 23. In Tekken 7, Lidia is the oldest woman who is not a Williams sister. It's something that applies to every single playable female character in what they take so much pride in being the longest running consecutive video game story. It's not that it's just one specific character they refuse to age up due to popularity certain otakus, or that it's happened a couple of times. This would bother me less if it wasn't a pattern. She will either be in the game, looking not a day older than she did in Tekken 2, by context of flashbacks like Kazumi, or she will simply have stopped ageing physically due to some technology or ancient magic nonsense. While I like her design by itself, Kazumi's appearance in Tekken 7 is just a good example of why Jun will not have aged a day if she ever comes back. Imagining that dark, noir-esque atmosphere with a twinge towards the supernatural as Kaz struggles with his past, present and future and the struggle within, and a fighting tournament with the various contestants of unique flavors and connections to the broader story. Perhaps Hei's arrival triggered the devil reawakening in Kaz causing him to become increasingly more paranoid and murderous in his business demeanor, forcing Jun to go into hiding.Įdit: goddamnit, this is what I miss about that moody Tekken 2. It makes sense since we know Kaz's fate after meeting Hei, he obviously hooked up with Jun beforehand. Jun must have caught the innocent and romantic Kaz before Heihachi showed his ass after climbing back up that cliff and entering the tournament (timelines are free flowing in Tekken since, iirc, Heihachi technically didn't "exist" in T6 and only shows up after Jin disappears and kickstarts the 7th tourney). Much like Jin, it's the devil's will that seems to taint his humanity. Let's not forget that it is Angel that is over Kaz's shoulder in T2's intro hinting at a good or light side. ![]()
